Dates and Times
The Dubai Ice Sports Festival 2024 is scheduled to take place from **December 10th to December 12th, 2024**. Each day will run from **9:00 AM to 4:00 PM**, offering a full and exciting program from morning until late afternoon. Participants are expected to arrive slightly before 9:00 AM for check-in on the first day and subsequent days to ensure timely start of sessions. The schedule is designed to balance intensive on-ice and off-ice training with necessary breaks for rest and meals, ensuring participants can maintain energy and focus throughout the day. Detailed Festival Schedule
Check-in and Welcome
Registration desk opens. Participants complete check-in, collect welcome kits including a festival t-shirt and information booklet, and prepare for the day's activities in the designated changing rooms. Initial greetings and a brief orientation will set the tone for the day.
On-Ice Training Session 1
Intensive session focused on core skating fundamentals. Led by our certified coaches, participants will work on stride mechanics, stopping techniques, edge work, and balance drills suitable for their registered skill level. This session is designed to build a strong foundation on the ice.
Lunch Break
A well-deserved break for participants. A healthy and replenishing lunch is provided in the facility's dining area. This is also a time for participants to relax, socialize, and recharge before the afternoon activities. Dietary restrictions communicated during registration will be accommodated.
Off-Ice Workshop / Facility Tour
Activities move off the ice. This might include workshops on hockey strategy, puck handling drills using specialized equipment, strength and conditioning tips for ice sports, or an insightful tour of the Gulf Ice Sports Facilities to see behind-the-scenes operations. Content varies by day and age group.
Open Skate / Q&A with Coaches
An opportunity for participants to enjoy free skate time to practice learned skills or simply have fun on the ice. Coaches will be available rinkside to answer questions, provide individual tips, and interact with participants in a less formal setting. A great way to wind down the day.
